Maha Abu Mailesh is a Jordanian / Palestinian artist based in Jordan.

Maha's work diverges into the concept of social psychology that reflects on the ideology of human beings and their relation to the earth.

Her paintings discuss socio-physiological and political dilemmas regarding human behaviors, interactions, identity, roots, and religion. They all intersect and influence each other in an infinite pattern coming from our past, reflecting our present and shaping our future landscape.

Maha sees those effects like the butterfly effect in a never-ending sequence, diving deep into exploring and expressing my understanding of this unconscious effect on us as humans in the MENA region.

Feeling disconnected from her rooted homeland, Maha sees herself beyond physical borders. Her works convey continuous stories and documentation of abstracting all these influences to reach a conclusion of our collective belonging to the same earth and land.
